I saw Jesus as a regular guy with a sense of humor; unlike the usual portrayal of a mysterious spiritual man. I got to know the characters behind the disciples with their challenges of trying to live right and provide for their families - even Nicodemus, wow, what a beautiful portrayal of his life, his heart (he could have become one of the 12 chosen). I cried when Jesus called after Mary with the 7 devils... that moment completely captivated the depth of His great love for His Church right there.
