Manga reader here. After watching episode one of The Final Season, I'm confident that once it is completed and aired, Attack on Titan will be considered the peak of fiction.

The art is beautiful, the story itself goes far beyond the typical romance plot (by implementing aspects which are never seen in this genre in addition to unexpected twists which really invest you in the narrative), the music itself can bring a tear to my eye when I hear it, and the sheer amount of emotions this film can evoke is astounding. I never expected an Anime to have the ability to become my favourite movie; the medium is truly something special.
