Passport to Freedom is is the most compelling & gripping series about the diplomatic clerk Arcy De Carvalho who issued hundreds of passports to Jews helping them to flee Nazi Germany. It is a true historical documentary in Hamburg Germany centered around the Brazilian Consulate. One of the most dramatic special effects occurred on Kristallnacht, with superb 3-D effects of horror unhinging unbelievable terror . This involved using to a large extent the Hitler youth & SS conducting violence on the Jewish businesses , as well as the illegal takeover & confiscation of their homes. The heroism was both recognized & rewarded by the Jewish nation & counted among the "Righteous Among The Nations".

Of course the film on the life & work of Marie Curie & her husband Pierre played by Greer Garson was extraordinary & historically accurate. I feel it gave a truer & more balanced picture of her achievement's. This newer version called "Radioactive", seems messy & disjointed due to the Director & Editor, though is well acted. The shocking focus on her later affair distracts from the serious scientific accomplishments. However I'm glad I saw it & overall would recommend it.

Churchill's Secret is a film of excellence & quality. The acting & directing are superb!. In particular Michael Gambon as Churchill, Romana Garai as Nurse Appleyard & Lindsay Duncan as Clemmie are outstanding. I was moved to tears several times, by the acting, amazing script & interpretation of the lines as well as highly professional performances. I recommend this film as worthy of praise! Thank you!

Enjoyed this film with some of the greats like Vanessa Redgrave, Dustin Hoffman, Paul Brooke, tremendously & I highly recommend it!

This is an important film, both disturbing & chilling! It exposes the wicked Josef Mengele - who was Hitler's eugenics cum- experimental doctor from outside the Nazi party while in hiding. It was a true story of how he conned & deceived a local family who inherited a hotel by a lake in Patagonia & experiment on their underage & underdeveloped daughter Lilith with the permission of the mother & daughter, but without consent of the father who disliked & distrusted Mengele. He is suspected by the school photographer who reported to the authorities, bit it was too late for the Doctor who escaped by a seaplane & the photographer who was later found dead. I encourage interested viewers to watch consider this film!

This is an excellent timely film given the Ukrainian current crisis with Putin's Russia. It helps the viewers to understand the value of Ukraine is the "Gold" from the production of WHEAT, which not only feeds Russia but the world, currently causing famine. This is just 1 of the major war crimes against humanity - besides the murders of millions against civilians, hospitals, schools, buildings & entire cities razed to the ground without conscience. Enough is ENOUGH while the nations watch is horror, not doing nearly enough to stop the grievous aggression.

Atlantic Crossing is a superb series of outstanding actors, direction, script! I watched it on PBS without advertisements or interruptions at least 5 + times. Was particularly interested because as a youth I knew some of the Roosevelt family who lived in Pennsylvania in the Whitemarsh area. I believe this is accurate historically. What was exceptionally well done was the various languages spoken of Norwegian, Swedish & English which was coherent & easily understood. I highly recommend this series!

This film on a limited budget was very well done. All the principal players were well cast & I enjoyed it immensely, though the conclusion at the end was weak & lacking in the high drama & pathos as expressed in the novel! It was worth watching, though long & drawn out. I recommend it.
