I didn’t want to watch this movie because I recalled how scared I was after the first. That psychological impact is what made the original what it is. Everyone knew the movie with the scary clown in the sewer. IT Chapter Two takes a massive dump on the memory of its truly chilling predecessors. Slapstick comedy, melodramatic acting, Goosebumps-style CGI and a soundtrack that would be better suited for a Harry Potter film made this a truly odd, but forgetful, three hours.
