I'm a latino born and living in South America, so I have no dog in this race, and I think the fact this is allowed to be aired anywhere makes me thing racism is strong and systemic, but not in the way they think. The system enables big corporations to spread messeges of hate and division with complete impunity and this garbage is the biggest example.

If My Little Witch Academia was made by Steven Universe Deviantart fanfic writers with crippling ego issues, here's a checklist of what you'll see: +Self insert mary sue x4 +Gender studies class lectures that don't contribute anything to the plot +Stolen assets x2 +People who don't know how archery works +Unlikeable main characters who have no character development or growth through it all, their actions have no consequences in the long run. +The author blaming the budget for the bad writing(yeah in Twitter, where else) +NOT ANIME, there is absolutely ZERO japanese influence anywhere in the show. +The author blamed the budget for everything else, meanwhile the YouTube made anime "The Otachan Show" was made with only 8 to 20k USD each episode. A Crunchyroll original not being able to top that is beyond embarrassing.

Absolutely perfect, while there is fanservice and nostalgia involved, the show is it's own thing. I know what modern reboots and sequels are doing with old shows and you have reason to be afraid, but trust me, this one is an exception. Go watch it now.

It's a 5/10 terrible at worst, okay at best sci fi movie. Also the creators' intention was to "reclaim the red pill meme kidnapped by the right wing", yes, they have said this, it's all over the news. Let me be clear about something, there is a world outside of America, and we couldn't care less about your petty squabbles with your political rivals. We want to see fiction, and political/social commentary is okay as long as it doesn't become your intention to turn it into propaganda, especially when the majority of the planet doesn't care about your country's drama. We want to be entertained, not manipulated. It needs to be done with taste, the plot and entertainment being the most important thing at all times.
