I am a little upset, I'm watching Chopped- Viewers Choice season 23 episode 2. At the end of the Appetizer round they sent home a lady because she didn't have any yolk in her egg. Ok the rules are you have to use everything in the basket. The basket contained Pickled eggs, Ramps Ramen noodles, and GROSS Calf eyeballs. She used everything in the basket but did not use the egg yolk, chose to instead put the cooked eyeball in the egg. The judges acted like it was not right to use the calf eyeball, they didn't like the basket ingredient. The other lady forgot to put the ramps on one of the plates why wasn't she chopped? The judges had a few problems with her plate but she remained. That was not right. I am so loyal fan of Chopped but I am not happy with the show doing that, it's not the contestants fault because you don't want to eat something that was in the basket. She did NOT have to use the egg yolk, she only had to use a portion of the egg. Of course Amanda Freitag was one of the judges, Scott was one and Alex was the other!
