I loved the film! It's brilliant cast, stunning visuals, quirkiness and humour, had me laughing out loud and much of the audience too. The film takes a darker turn later however, with Bella's dawning realisation that the world outside, is not as she imagines it to be. The story delves into the seedier side of life and there are some pretty graphic sexual scenes, which leave very little to the imagination..I thought Bella's growing character was wonderfully portrayed and it was interesting to see how she evolved throughout the film. Makes you think about many aspects of life particularly the nature/nurture debate. I am so glad I saw this film. It is a masterpiece and utterly compelling.

An intelligent, tense and fraught look at life behind the scenes of a busy restaurant. The characters are a mish mash of ages and skills all rubbing along together and all with different things going on in their lives. I was on the edge of my seat as tempers frayed in and around the kitchen, you could almost taste (!) the tension as it builds from scene to scene. A brilliant film giving you just enough to work out what's going on and building to a climax that you don't expect. A masterclass in the workings of an ordinary kitchen with ordinary people, doing their best under extreme pressure.

Amazing, heartbreaking and precise. Watching Anthony's mental decline was, at times, unbearable. I found the changing characters confusing, but came to realise that this was what Anthony was experiencing. Brilliant and flawless acting from Sir Anthony Hopkins, as usual and Olivia Coleman is outstanding as the guilt ridden and insufferable daughter, left to pick up the pieces of her father's disjointed and despairing psyche.

Am currently on episode 4. To say I am on the edge of my seat, is an understatement! Amazing , believable acting from the whole cast so far. This is a chilling account of a true story set in the 70's, one of which I do not recall even though I was a teenager back then. A thoroughly gripping, and difficult to watch at times drama set in a beautiful backdrop ofThai land. I wanted to watch more but had to go to bed!
