Well, I just loved this new series. I liked that they went into his background, and set him up as a normal guy just trying to survive the time. The time period is more or less correct, the acting is wonderful, and the characters have depth to them that make them interesting. The season ending put Perry on the track that we all want to see him as.. a lawyer (Attorney?). Lets look at some fun facts and some of the required PC spots. Perry is not a war hero, not even a honorable vet, but a dishonorable discharged veteran, mmm that is what I want in my lawyer. He seems to be depressed since the war, so there may be more to this discharge story later on ( I do hope so). In the years since the war ended, he has become a deadbeat Dad, and as we have seem lost the family farm. If this were not enough to chase all his clients away, he cheated on the bar exam, and went right into a trial attorney (he is nuts or his clients are). Then at the end, when he was not confident in his skills, which proved to be good enough to convince two members of the jury to vote no, He bribed a member, another reason to run from this attorney. Having said all that, we had to have the obligated PC moments, Hamilton Burger is gay, Della Street is gay, Religion is phony, Cops are crooked, cops are racist, The DA is crooked, the assistant DA is crooked, well, you watched the show. Now, don't get me wrong, as I said I like the show, I loved the characters and I am looking forward to the next season. I hope they answer his discharge question, and he try's to back pay he ex-wife and see his son. He has a long way to go to redeem himself, maybe he can take on a vet or two as a client and help get their bonus. There is a good story there, and his background may come up. The HBO folks have a winner on their hand, I hope they know that. I also hope NOT to wait a year for it to return. Thanks HBO, good stuff
