See it, not on your ipad. Classic big screen movie making at its finest. The visual effects are so seamless and invisible which adds to the “one take” signature of this saga. If you appreciate a simple, strong storyline with characters you can feel empathy for combined with some great twists and turns, 1917 should be at the top of your 2020 big screen experiences. Sit back, and enjoy an amazing assembly of artists (for sure oscar nominations for production design and director of photography are completely called for!)
