Joker - 2/5 When I saw this in cinemas, it was not what I had expected. Although I don’t mind the concept of the jokers self-destruction, the movie just dragged on and on. The same film could have been produced in half the time. Another reason that I disliked it was it was really dark. I understand that it was supposed to be like that, but in my opinion the age restriction was too low. In Australia, or at least in the cinema I went to, it was rated MA15+. We left about 50 minutes into the movie. I think that in order to appreciate and understand the movie, you should research into the trailer, and understand that the movie is dark and based off mental illnesses and extreme violence. If you are triggered by any sort of clowns, violence, shootings, mental illnesses, please do not watch this film. Although I can appreciate this films creative efforts in characters, makeup, settings, music, etc, I would not chose to watch this film again.
