Oh my goodness. I avoid reading reviews because they give too much away. In this case I wish I had, because I wasted 6 dollars on this movie. While I’m a big Portman fan, she’s wasted in this mess of a film. Is this a cautionary tale about fame? A exploration of violence in contemporary life? An homage to the Royal Tenenbaums with the narration? I just don’t get what this film was trying to say. I don’t want to give any spoilers, so I’ll just Vox Lux is less than, the sum of its parts.
