An excellent horror anthology series with a very memorable opening sequence. From the beginning voice-over to the simple negative image of a countryside you know you are in for a scary ride. Many feel this is a spiritual successor anthology series that the Creepshow movies were going to spawn, but never came to be (Until 2019 on Shudder) Works of various authors like Stephen King adapted to episodes. Effects by Tom Savini (He even directed an episode) on much of the show. Sometimes you finds duds, like any anthology, but when this series hit the horror was there. Potent scares that stick with viewers for years. Well worth the time to find episodes online or on DVD.

The movie that defined the trope that "Zombies Eat Brains". Before it was just the "Flesh of the living." but after this movie those zombies need them brains! A great punk rock horror movie. The horror that all the old ways of stopping a zombie wont work here just makes the ride even scarier. Great effects, fun acting. And the ending... I grew up where is was set, Louisville Kentucky. When little me saw that moment, I freaked out. Worth the watch, it's so good!

The movie is classic re-animator, but the real fun of this is finding the special Music Video they made for this film "Dr. Reanimator - Move Your Dead Bones". It's incredible.

Oh wow. Just put a silver bullet in this snoozer. If there is a werewolf to actually shoot? Might had fallen asleep before seeing one. Hard Skip.

Wow. This movie is like a Hammer Horror movie met a punk rock music video and decided to trip on acid. Christopher Lee bringing his iconic weight to such a weird movie. The pace screams along building mythology of werewolves and strange magic to the hunt for the Queen of Werewolves. Effects are there? From furry porn costuming, to really bad puppets. A good movie to riff on with friends. Reb Brown, that is all.

Absolute classic in the Werewolf Horror genre. The story grows and evolves into something worth following. Fine acting by all involved. Robert Picardo's werewolf transformation one of the most iconic since American Werewolf in London, and definitely worth seeing. Practical effects are the top degree by master Rob Bottin. Everything from stop motion to prosthetic appliances. (Though the initial punch of the showcase change is never topped later on.) Well worth a Full Moon viewing. Dick Miller Alert!

Gee, MTV's Teen Wolf just happen to launch about the time this hits. What could be the connection? I guess if you like that show this movie has something for you.

It's a damn karaoke showcase for what one can guess is the town locals the "movie" is shot in. With a werewolf movie someplace in there? Hard pass. Find reviews making fun of it for more entertainment than this dog pile.

Complete departure from the other kind of Howling movies. This time the Werewolf is the main character drifting through a town that is experiencing a deadly visit from a traveling Freakshow. Discovers the show is run by a vampire that has a way to control his monthly transformations. Not that the bloodsucker wants to help the werewolf be anything but a new attraction. Beauty and the beast love story, with town girl falling for the drifter werewolf. A fun monster battle movie. Effects are well done with practical body reshaping into unique werewolf form for the franchise. This time the werewolf still holds much of his humanity and is the hero. Truly wish the series took off from this new storyline.

Direct to video fare. A lifetime movie with werewolves. This time the unfaithful hubby is cheating with a werewolf. Again building the mythology of packs making communities in the Howling Universe. "We're all in fear" twist wanting to be more clever than it is. Skinwalker style feral werewolves, but also Halloween Express wolf-people. Effects range from over-acting convulsions, karo syrup skin popping to trained dogs. Meh, but funny to see rabid grannies.
