I watched it with a friend. He loved the things I hated about the show. He loved the sound track because it was grand. I hated it because it was too overwhelming all the time. He loved the pacing because he felt that it built up the suspense. I hated it because I think it took too long to get there. He loved the cliff hanger at the end because it kept him on a high to watch the sequel. I hated it because I thought it was somewhat anticlimactic. The only thing we both agreed on what that it was visually beautiful. The technology was aesthetically pleasing. One key difference between the two of us when we watched the show is that he has read the books while I didn’t. Perhaps that would make a world of difference in how I would connect to the show. He gave it a 5, I would give it a 2. So… here’s a 3.
