Looking at all those glowing 5 star reviews make me hesitant to post. I am compelled to sit through each episode as others with me wish to view it. I can only describe as a piece of pretentious arty rubbish. What is the point of them choosing an actor like Colin Farrell then disguising him (and his his voice) beyond recognition into a pantomime character; add to that grotesque and badly executed limp... Dialogue is sparse lighting depressingly dim and story weirdly disjointed. The storyline is spread out to it's limit, as with many other TV miniseries. Sorry to have peddle out my criticism in so negative a way, in complete contrast to every other review I have read here. I do like Colin Farrell as an actor and had been looking forward to the series. I am so disappointed.

Overwhelmingly uninspiring rubbish. It tries hard to be cool funny but isn't. I quit watching it half way through, doubt if I missed anything!

I nearly bypassed this movie when I spotted Adam Sandler! What a close shave. It is a brilliant film loaded with really funny belly laughs. Down a few beers, put your feet up and have a great night's entertainment. Humour is in the dumb and dumber mode-not quite as good, but close. Very close!

In a perverse way I actually enjoyed this movie. (I also enjoyed The Greasy Strangler). The sheer neck of the film makers to present such implausible trash is remarkable. Another plus was John Malcovitch. He is a favourite of mine. I doubt if even Bollywood (Revenge of the Killer Tomatoes) could bend common sense to such a degree. If you want to know how not to present a comically impossible storyline, watch this movie.

I did not like this film. Too formulaic. It started well, with reasonably funny embarrassing clanger based humour on the singular subject of clashing Jewish/Black/Islamic cultures. After the first half hour the movie ran out of steam and degenerated into that horrible "heartwarming" trap that a lot of Hollywood comedies fall into where the characters all kiss and make up and see everyone else's point of view. (yawn, at this point the comedy ceases and the movie is effectively over). In this movie that point is reached quite early on. Why do so many producers fall into this infantile trap? I feel annoyed with myself for falling for the advertising hype. I had high hopes due to the involvement of Jonah Hill. Hope he has better stuff ahead of him as he has great potential.

Like so many comedies it starts off being hilarious, very funny, then it hits a break point half way through when everyone becomes serious and gives us their sensitive inner feelings? Great movie if you watch it up to that point then switch off.

Not my kind of movie I am afraid. I found the camaraderie childish and overplayed. Lack of a story thread, just a series of unconnected vignettes. I do like Jake Guillenhaal in movies. Acting was good. It cannot have been easy for the actors to carry out such a huge amount forced cameraderi and I think I could spot their weariness . The lead up to and conclusion was stereotypical Hollywood schmaltz. I was easy to play "guess the ending". I apologise for going so totally against the majority of reviews, everyone to their own I guess.
