A good story, with our hero Nathan being Nathan, continues with his killing spree (this time willingly) and in the process cheating death several times to justify his obsession to defeat the main villain, in a race of finding the biggest lost treasures mentioned in Sir Francis Drake's journals, only to find out that Sir Francis never wanted anybody to find it in the first place, because it is the worst treasure of all kind, a treasure called 'POWER' (ain't that similar to the second game?!)
So yes the Drakes truly are deceived and that is what I really like the most about this game, as it stays really true to its name.
And at the same time, the game mechanics also do deceive the players by trying to make us believe that they are what they are for providing the best in game cinematic experiences, but in reality they definitely are riddled with sudden, sporadic and spontaneous glitches. And this is what I truly hate about this game.
All in all, yes it is a playable game, a good one as well if you consider the story, but being a computer engineer it pains me to say that unfortunately the Quality Assurance team missed its mark on this one.
