I actually feel embarrassed for everyone involved in this film, and I'm embarrassed that I watched it, though I wisely didn't stick it through to the end. The film suffers primarily from a poor script and though I generally dislike Nicholas Cage and continue to wonder how he ever made it as an actor, I can't even fault him for the failure of the film because even a tremendous actor (which Cage isn't), can't save a shoddy script. For reasons which remain a mystery, a squad of rogue elite militiamen make one bad decision after another - somehow, they managed to survive the ravages of war in the Middle East, but fail to do the obvious, which would be to use the hostages as human shields to make an escape. Don't waste your time; you're better-off catching up on sleep.
