Why do people who think our military is that of the Vietnam and post-Vietnam era allow a film like Semper FI to get financing and be produced. The first half of the film is brilliant in showing the true nature of the war in Iraq and the too frequent injuctice of the US criminal system. The film wastes all this in becoming a typical cliche anti-miltary film where Marine combat veterans become cast as common criminals. Our Afghanistan and Iraqi war veterans are made of the same material of our WWII and Korean War Veterans which made American the greatest economy in the world. During the global Covid-19 crisis, many, if not all Americans will owe a veteran or serving member of the military for saving the life of someone close to us.

A waste of time. The movie lectures without letting the the key figures tell the tale. Disappointing.
