Excellent. A unique take on a common genre within anime: Four adventurers "beat the game" and return to celebration and acclaim. What happens then? In particular, what happens to the immortal elvin mage of the party? Being immortal, how does she reflect on the adventure, her mortal companions, on death and the afterlife? VERY well conceived, reflected upon and written. From there, the production - art, music and acting - are flawless. Not only one of my favorite animes, but a favorite work of art and story. Excellent.

A terrible show! Poorly conceived, written, acted and with very little monsters. All political check boxes are filled at the expense of a quality program. Character development is created by quota not quality (and is somewhat racist). No continuity. No logic. A "Rings of Power" like disaster of over priced drivel. Science Fiction without the science, or good fiction. A complete disappointment. Episode #5 Update: South Park's theory of modern story telling has finally been realized. You knew it was coming with a show this bad. The slide into complete drivel continues - this IS a terrible show. And the original monster count: 250+/- minutes of show with less than 6 minutes of original monster footage. Everything else is teen angst and soap opera. Terrible show!

A prime example of how ideas, story-telling and talent no longer make movies - committees, politics and focus groups have staged a hostile takeover. A complete failure.

Horrible, simple-minded, unoriginal drivel. Overlong with no pay-off. Has no heart nor reason to exist.

As with most Netflix mini-series, the wheels come off around episode 4. Great premise, great atmosphere and - some - TRULY great acting. However, characters that are introduced & developed during the early episodes, merely take up screen space - with little to no lines and minimal involvement in the plot - by episode 3. In episode 4, you start questioning the plot and narrative. Episode 5 gives a bad feeling as to where things are heading. By early episode 6, there are HUGE holes in the plot and the actions of the characters - with lines - that remain. Typical of Netflix, and disappointing. Episodes 1 & 2 get four stars, but it goes downhill from there.

Great premise and setup - asinine delivery. Only funny if your whole reality revolves around the Hollywood film industry. In short: An overly long and elitist inside joke.

History gives way to fanciful fiction. Plot Summary: Girl overcomes poverty, prejudice, addiction and the excesses of capitalism to find fame and recognition in opulent and welcoming Moscow during the height of the Cold War. The story is interesting, well produced and presented. The casting and acting is good. However, the final episode's abandonment of historical facts for Progressive politics is a betrayal of sorts.

The roles of Dandelion, Yennifer and Triss are mis-cast, seemingly by "studio suits" who have little appreciation for the overall story. The actors are off-character, but are providing a good effort. Casting seems to be guided by an insincere attempt at "appearing" to be multi-cultural; whereas a more honest attempt could have improved, deepened, and had more fun with the story, and created broader character arcs - all the while providing for even more diversity. Even the role of Ciri is somewhat miscast - although well acted. Henry Cavill is surprisingly good as Geralt, in both his brooding and comedic moments. Technically, very well produced with good atmosphere. Scripting is generally good.
