Season 2 review - 2 stars Only giving it 3 stars because of the way the costumes and dragons look legit. Would give it 1 star if they didn't have that because the writing/storyline are so bad. Rings of Power bad.... ----- Season 1 review 5 stars Amazing story telling, just as good if not better than GOT because they can story tell even better since we've all seen GOT. Even episodes where nothing but dialogue happens are just as gripping as the scenes where more exciting thing happen. Had us on the edge of our seats with our mouths hanging open and eyes wide at every episode. The change in actresses has worked out great. I was worried but I'm just as invested and happy with the change.

Horrible, like jersey shore but forced into a French villa. The show is completely disjointed and not in a good way. There's so many staff it's hard to keep track let alone get invested in story line. Their personalities are AWFUL. The most unprofessional, vapid, narcissists (there are a few that are okay). They cast the most trashy people they could find and thought that if you throw Lisa's name on it with thousands of dollars of flowers it'd be the wild Vegas château hit show. I really like Lisa but it's making her look desperate and out of touch as she tries so hard to make this a "curated" experience that is super cringey.

I didn't know what to expect going in but found myself laughing out loud throughout the whole movie. This movie was lifted up by the really great cast of the number 2 and 3 disciples of the sifu and also Carter haha. They all had excellent comedic timing and were very playful off of each other. Dai Si Hing was also very good but a little bit more stiff. He did contribute to the vibe though. After watching the trailer I was afraid of how they would pull off the kung fu moves with the out of training older dudes, but the scenes were believable and effective enough to be carried away into a story. I appreciated that all the younger actors are actually real trained martial artists. It's so important to have a cast that actually practices martial arts. I hate unbelievable flailing actors that don't take the martial arts seriously. I'm glad they found real martial artists that can also act. Yay! I watched this with my family, we really enjoyed it and talked about it the next day. I think it's best watched without reading too much into it or having too many expectations. It's well worth watching.

Would've had potential if the main character could act!!! His acting is SO horrible and what's worse is that you can see him mechanically trying to form English words. I was bummed that the main character isn't Chinese either, so much Canto from supporting actors being spoken to him and he doesn't speak any himself. The dialogue sucks and the pop music during fight scenes is tiring. Things I liked, that it is shot in SF Chinatown (grew up spending Sundays there!) and represents Cantonese Chinese folks!!
