Unfortunately Biomutant is sub par at best. The visual can be stunning, the gameplay can be smooth but not without a lot of flaws in my opinion. The RPG loot system is great and being able to customise your weapons is really fun, but being able to get overpowered weapons from early on in the game makes the rest way too easy, most people agree that some of the guns you can get make the combat system obsolete. The kung-fu aspect is interesting but bland, only a small moveset with lackluster abilities of which you will probably only enjoy 2/3. The character customisation is very plentiful however and makes for a great selection. The open world is fun to explore but very baron with not much to do. The enemy types are stunning buy repetitive with only really 4/5 different kind of enemies repeated over many quest lines. The story itself is hard to follow and made even harder with no NPC dialogue and instead a narrator throughout the experience. I see what the developers tried doing with this game and honestly it could've been everything they wanted and we hoped for. Instead it seems like a repetitive, bland and tiring game. Biomutant is something to play when you have nothing else left to play, not worth its initial release price. If it ever gets on offer around the £20 range then it may be worth buying, Untill then, be rest assured you're not missing out.
