Christian Bale will always deliver a great performance. The idea behind this movie was excellent. The supporting actors did a great job as well. But this movie got the ratings it did for a reason. While the idea of this plot was good, and the acting was great, everyone will watch this movie and say to themselves, “ I could have written and produced this movie better myself.” Why take such good actors, and make this movie all about action? These actors are the ones that do not allow you to know what is coming next, but the writers and directors made everything predictable within 15 minutes. It is enjoyable, but you will wish there was about 30 minutes more of an ending. They left room for a sequel, but i suppose you can make up the sequel in your head because you knew how this movie would end the whole time. They just cut it way too short. Maybe they didn't have the money to pay for a real ending. Watchable, but if your the type of person that wants a grand finale ending, you will be thoroughly disappointed. The whole movie is in the message. The messages makes this movie predictable. As always great job Christian Bale, But even he will agree. 4.9/10

The sad truth is, 20 years later and officers of the law are still that lazy. I do not consider this movie as an attempt at saying that African Americans are treated differently. Yes at one point they were, but this movie more defines just how aweful our legal system truly is, and also shows that somehow, media weighs in heavily as a factor when it comes to a persons freedom! I know most people will say its about racism, but the fact is the people that would say that are racist themselves. This happens way too often to all races. This one just happened to hit the media. Furthermore, it will not change. Innocent until proven guilty sounds good, but lets face it. Those kids were judged far before that trial. My heart goes out to them, as i also know what it is like to be a felon, but i came out on top thanks to god. Thanks for the great movie and reminder of how we, as a people, no matter your race, just need to learn to love. Hate will get you right where they ended up. I don't believe they did what they were accused of, but they were out doing hateful things and as a result, well you saw the end.
