Mohanlal, as always, delivered a stellar performance, effortlessly carrying much of the filmโs weight on his shoulders. Prakash Varmaโs character was a real standout โ powerful, nuanced, and absolutely captivating. However, it felt like Shobhanaโs immense potential wasnโt fully tapped into, which was a bit of a letdown.
The storyline itself was engaging and held promise, but it missed the emotional depth that could have truly elevated the narrative. A little more finesse in the background score would have made a huge difference, especially in the more intense moments.
On the brighter side, the direction was neat and kept the narrative flowing steadily. The drone shots deserve a special mention โ they beautifully captured the lush landscapes of Kerala, adding a rich visual texture to the film.
Overall, Thudarum had its moments of brilliance but left me wishing for a deeper emotional connect.
