There are plenty of sex ed books out there but this one stands out for being transgender affirming and inclusive. It provides scientifically accurate (but not overly clinical or dry) descriptions of sex (in both senses), gender, bodies, puberty, families, and everything in between. The illustrations are fantastic! They're kid friendly while still being accurate. Tons of different body types and skin tones are represented, which is a serious breath of fresh air. The book is a great replacement for the old standbys like It's Perfectly Normal. Overall, I highly recommend this for anyone with kids old enough for "the talk" as well as classrooms and libraries.
