Prior to watching this movie, I had expected it to fall along the lines of black panther, a film where the main character is NOT your generic male Caucasian superhero. However, that is not all this movie is made out to be. While black panther takes place in the fictional country of Wakanda, Shang Chi actually has some basis on Chinese mythology and would be difficult to understand from the perspective of someone who has had little to no experience with Chinese culture. This movie was definitely one of the darker MCU films and feels similar in tone to the Dark Knight trilogy. The villain wasn't some 1 dimensional villain who just wanted to hurt others for the sake of it but felt like a mix between a conqueror like Thanos while also having a noble goal like Kingpin from Spiderman into the spider verse. That said, I felt his redemption arc was too rushed and too short. Overall not as great of a film as as black panther but still decent. I would rate it 7/10

For those of you who have never watched the show, I can assure you that if you enjoyed stories like Harry Potter, you will definitely enjoy Avatar. The show has great characters, a great story, and almost every episode serves a purpose in the end. While the first season may seem slow, the story picks up substantially in the 2nd and 3rd seasons and the entire story just feels perfect. Nobody is left out, everyone has a purpose and it teaches us a lot about philosophies of how to be a good human being. Absolute a must watch. I rate this show 5/5

The biggest problem with this movie is that it can't seem to decide if it's a Superman movie or a Richard Pryor sci-fi comedy movie. Superman is one of the most iconic superheroes of all time and it literally feels like this movie isn't even about superman half the time. In this regard, I would compare it to Masters of the Universe or Godzilla 2014 where the supposed main character was made into a subplot. The only redeeming thing about Superman 3 was the junkyard battle between evil superman and Clark Kent. When Clark defeats his evil half and turns back into Superman, that was one of the best scenes in the entire 4 movie series. Unfortunately, 1 good scene does not make a good movie, especially if everything else about the movie was rather lackluster. Not the worst superhero movie but when the story of Superman becomes a subplot in a movie called Superman, you know it's not gonna be pretty. I'll give this move 2/5

Avengers endgame is hands down the best superhero film ever made. Yes, I enjoyed endgame more than Infinity war, Into the spider verse, Batman Begins, and Dark knight rises. Even though movies like Infinity war had more action and more battles between the heroes and the villains, endgame gives just enough action for the movie to not feel boring but also doesn't overload you with endless action sequences without focusing on a coherent story. It was the perfect follow up to the events at the end of Infinity war where for the first time the heroes do not win. While I find the concept of time travel and parallel universes presented within endgame to be complicated and a bit confusing at times, (and yes I know that according to the comics that infinity stones only work within their own dimension, and thus taking an infinity stone from one universe will not make it work in another universe), I really enjoyed how the whole time travel heist allowed each of our main characters to reconnect with their family/relatives who have passed away. Thor reconnects with his mother. Ironman meets his father. Captain America meets his former girlfriend from WW2. And on top of all that, we get to see how each one of these characters have evolved compared to how they were at the start of the MCU. Captain America would have used brute force to achieve his goals in 2012-2014 but the 2023 captain America would now use non-violent and more clever means of achieving the same goal(s). One thing I didn't like about the movie was how they killed off Thanos early on only to bring back an earlier version of Thanos for the final battle. To be honest, I actually liked the Infinity War Thanos more as a villain as he was more relatable and had clear goals whereas the Endgame Thanos was more of a brute force generic villain who just wanted to kill whoever he can get his hands on. But regardless, Josh Brolin played the role so well that most people just remember him as Thanos and Endgame was no exception. I'll give this film a 9.5/10

This movie, Infinity War, and Endgame are my 3 favorite Marvel movies hands down. I would even go so far as to say they are my 3 favorite superhero movies if it weren't for Nolan's Dark Knight trilogy. What makes this film different from films such as The Avengers(2012) or Justice League(2017) was that even though it was about a team of superheroes teaming up to fight a common enemy, all the different characters were really just incarnations of the same character, that being Spiderman. For those of us who grew up with Sam Raimi's Spiderman trilogy, we all know Spiderman as Peter Parker. What Spiderverse brings to the table is a refreshing concept of superhero from an older generation passing on the torch to the next generation similar to how Captain America gave the Falcon his signature shield at the end of Endgame. Finally, traditional superheroes have always been generic male Caucasians(Yes there exceptions such as black panther but generally speaking that is the rule). Spiderverse completely broke that stereotype by introducing an African American kid as the main character to replace the one and only Peter Parker we have know to be Spiderman for the last several decades. This entire film was a ride filled with thrills to the end. Nothing is predictable. Strangers can become your closest friends. Your own relatives can become your worst enemies. The villains may actually have noble intentions(from a certain point of view) and are just misunderstood. The character you would expect to be the most useless could turn out to surprise you with their level of utility and resourcefulness. At the end of the day, a hidden implied message seems to be anyone can be a superhero. It doesn't matter what your age, race, or gender is on the outside. What matters is if you have the will within to follow through and not be discouraged by failure. Also, never judge others by their outward appearance. You never know when they will surprise you. I'll give this movie a 5/5

Giving this piece of s**t film 1 out of 5 stars is being too generous. The quest for peace completely misrepresents what Superman stands for as a character. The entire plot of the movie makes no sense and feels like some cold war era propaganda and seemed to blame the entire conflict on the existence of nuclear weapons. Nuclear man is hands down the worst villain to appear in a superhero film. Yes! Nuclear man is worse than Arnold Schwarzenegger's Mr. Freeze from Batman & Robin. Who the hell goes into the middle of a city and just declares that he wants to hurt people? What kind of lame villain does that? Some elementary school bully? Superman can repair the great wall of China by staring at them? I would even question if IG Thanos can pull that off let alone Superman. What's worse is when Nuclear man brings some girl into outer space where she is perfectly able to breathe and talk. Even 10 year old kids know that's impossible. And the worst part of the film is after Superman FINALLY defeats Nuclear man, he goes and makes a big speech on why he cannot bring peace to the world by himself, COMPLETELY NEGATING THE WHOLE POINT OF THE PREVIOUS HOUR AND A HALF of this garbage film where he relieves every country in the world of their nukes. If he knew that whole time that all his efforts at bringing about peace was all in vain, why go out of his way to make the situation worse? What a load of BS. Hands down the worst superhero film ever made. And that's saying alot when there are films out there like the aforementioned Batman & Robin and Fantastic 4

Lines like "I did not hit her, it's not true, it's BS, I did not hit her, I did NOT!" and "YOU ARE TEARING ME APART LISA" were just absolutely atrociously written and poorly acted
