Felt like a laborious task to sit through the film. Reminded a lot of older movies right from MGR's Pallandu Vazhga through Kamal's Thevar Magan to Vijay's Thalaiva. The scenes don't progress from one to another seemlessly. The brownish, rustic tone of visuals added to the village scenes make the viewing experience as tiring. Yuvan's BGM comes across as a saver in many places. Many opine that first half was racy - that's mainly because of the shorter first half running time of 1 hour and not because of a sporty narration. Also the film lacks a Tamil nativity probably because the producers might have wanted the film to do business in Telugu regions too. Rashmika has a good role which goes beyond the typical loosu ponnu type. Karthi and the overall acting department was good, which is let down by the poor writing.

Plot opens up interestingly. Engaging first half and a not so engaging second half. Heroine doesn't add any value to the story except for a minor dot connection in the second half. Graphics look a few years old. SJ Suriyah had done a good job as the villain, yet much more could have been extracted from him given his potential. Nonetheless, wish he goes big time. BGM department is okay and good in parts but mostly rehashed music. Overall, one time watchable.
