I thoroughly enjoyed this movie. Well written, well executed. If you like this genre, you will like this film. Just don’t get caught up in technical stuff. Lots of Hollywood military tactics. Still…a great story.

A great light-hearted movie. Don’t take it too seriously (thankfully the writers didn’t) and I promise you’re in for a treat. Great cast with each delivering exactly what you’ve come to expect from them. Grab some popcorn and be entertained for the evening.

This was just dumb. The characters did nothing to make you root for them. I can’t believe there are so many good reviews for this film. Waste. Of. Time.

If you’re reading these reviews, you’re going to read spoilers. It’s hard to write about this movie without giving away the plot. Let me just say I tuned in for a sci-fi but did not get one. Which is the reason I give it 4 stars. However… the acting was amazing. The story was actually very good (just not what I was hoping for) and the cinematography was on point. I’m definitely a Riz Ahmed fan now. And the actors who played his sons should have great careers ahead of them. It really is a very good movie. I just wish I wasn’t “duped” into watching it because I thought it would be something different.

Disclaimer: I’m a Bob Odenkirk fan. I loved this movie. The plot isn’t very deep, but does not need to be. The pace of the film is spot on. There are very few scenes that seemed too long or unnecessary. The fight choreography is excellent and the touches of humor in Odenkirk’s expressions are well timed. The movie is great entertainment and not much more. Perfect.

Jennifer Garner did an amazing job with this role. There were strong performances throughout the cast. Though I never really picture Jennifer Garner as an action star (these days), she is exactly that in this film! I found the movie to be really entertaining and it didn’t get bogged down. Maybe not the most intricate plot, but I don’t think the film needed that. Just an action movie that rolled along. I only wish they delved more into the years her character transformed herself. Maybe a sequel?
