Read this book for 7th grade! It was great, obviously the book was better than the movie but that is indeed usually how it goes. The only thing I found a bit irritating was how music would be playing in serious situations where you couldn’t even hear the character speak, another thing is the scene where Darry hits Ponyboy, in the book this lasted a lot longer and put an extreme amount of detail, it disappointed me how the movie scene was only a few seconds, and quite rushed. Other than those things I would definitely recommend watching this movie, all of the characters fill into the description the book gave us, and it was honestly amazing. 5 stars!
