Overall it was a good watch. However, it would've been better if it had a more immersive plot. I would've loved to know what happened with Lisa at the end. I haven't actually read the book so I can't tell how well it was adapted. But the movie seemed to lack depth, movies like such are often impactful but Girl, interrupted didn't leave me any food for thought nor did I feel particularly impacted afterwards. But it was a good watch, the lack of depth leaves it digestible, unlike other movies of this genre. Which is why I give it a 4 star.
