This is a scary film, but actually not quite as scary as the 1951 original (The Thing from Another World) which I saw as a kid. It starred James Arness as the monster, but well before he was the Sheriff Matt Dillon. His face is never seen in the old film.

I was very young, living with my grandmother, and we had just gotten our first TV when this program began in 1951 ! It came on around 11pm to noon-ish along with Love of Life. Only later did another one begin, As the World Turns, in the early afternoon. I am now 77 y/o.

The first online game I ever played, I loved it.

I saw this when it first came out, and as somebody who hates "bugs" (but loves snakes and lizards), the film absolutely terrified me; I was around 11 years old back then.

So bad........got only 30 minutes in and turned it off. Hollywood caricatures of real people.

If you're patient with the 2-3 replays at the beginning, the story takes off and is quite a thriller !

A gently funny film about a man, a woman, Africa, and elephants. Beautiful scenery, beautiful animals, beautiful sentiments, no phony love story or evil, nastiness, or even unpleasantness. Made me yearn to revisit that beautiful continent: Africa.
