So to be frank. This is another Netflix attempt at some godzilla content and once again it isn't comparableto any of the films. Like not one of them. Even the silly ones. This is arguably the best attempt at some godzilla content from Netflix that could satisfy the core fan base. PROS: Godzilla is a BadAss, All of the monsters get some decent highlight, sets up the next season just enough to get us excited for it. All around enjoyable viewing experience CONS: (before I get to the cons I am a biased Godzilla fan) The Animation is very much a Pokemon 2002 type of animation it barely feels like an anime The characters absolutely suck, none of them are likeable or even relatable, there is barely any emotion or substance shown from them. Like any of them. The plot is convoluted, its all over the place. Its a GODZILLA ANIME yall didn't have to waste 10 episodes talking about something that even by the last episode we still won't be able to piece together what is going on. Look, as a Godzilla fan you'd like it for the monsters and have hopes that they get a chance to clean it up for the next season As an anime fan you will hate this show because the plot, the human characters, and the animation
