I really loved this movie. Robert Evans storied life was amazing, with dizzying highs and equally disastrous lows and he tells about it in such a delightful way that I don't think there was one second during the film where I was hoping it would end soon. He was a fantastic storyteller and I think those skills were equal to his instincts as head of Paramount Pictures when he made The Godfather, Chinatown, and The Great Gatsby, among others. Later on things went south for him and after he had lost his beloved home in Beverly Hills due to some decisions that cost him dearly, he had climbed out of the hole enough to be able to buy the house back and probably was only able to due to Jack Nicholson's loyalty to Evans which compelled him to fly to France to ask the people who had purchased Evans' house to please sell it back to him. They did. I loved this film and I loved Robert Evans for having lived the life he did. In fact, I read the book afterward which was even better than the film, and the film was terrific. I most heartily recommend it!
