First time I watched the show. I watched it because I had seen the previews of Lowrys in Tappahannock Va and I had eaten there once, gotten sick and said I would never go back. After watching the show I can’t believe I didn’t get deathly ill.
As for the show I think it was good. The only criticism I have is that you can’t turn a place around In 24 hours and expect them to take the reins and follow through. I think that on opening night Ramsey’s team needs to be in the kitchen working along the staff in preparing the food to help. I also think that someone should stay on for at least a week to help with the transition. If the restaurants are really going to succeed with Ramsey’s help, they need more guidance than 24 hours.
I will definitely watch again. The show really sheds light on what goes on behind the kitchen doors and makes me wonder now about the cleanliness of the kitchen when I’m eating at a restaurant. It’s a shame that we have to worry about things like this. Thanks to Ramsey for bringing this to our attention.
I am interested in going back and giving Lowrys another try. I hope Ramsey made a difference for this restaurant as I could see it was declining and we need more small town family restaurants.
