Do not buy this game. Do not wait a year and buy this game. Do not buy this game on sale. Do not even pirate this game. It's that bad. I'm a huge DnD fan and I love hack n slash games and getting sweet loot, and this game advertised all of the above. The Icewind Dale setting is neat. The voice acting is good and the monsters say fun and interesting things as you're exploring the dungeons and battlefields of the game. So why did I give it a 1 star review? Because the combat, which ties the game together, is hot, stinky garbage. It's summer on a humid day in the deep south left in the middle of the street disgusting total garbage. If anyone play tested this game, I'd be surprised, the combat is honestly that bad. To call it 'clunky' is too kind. It's so slow and disconnected. Combos sometimes work, but mostly don't. Enemies are very stupid, but there's a lot of them, and the parry system is hit or miss, mostly miss. So please do not buy this game. Don't buy it for your loved ones if they want it. Don't buy it for yourself, even if it's on a 5 dollar sale. Learn from my mistake, because I'll never get the money or time I spent on this game back.
