My husband gave me this book for valentines and I fell in Love the cover. The delicious little chocolate baby girl on the cover. I instantly saw myself. I paid NO attention to the other things he bought me. So I took the book to my room and started reading it. While doing so tears came to my eyes because I saw myself. It was like someone wrote my childhood story and part of my adulthood. The Mommy reminded me so much of my belated Mommy. She always told me how beautiful I was and that she wished her skin was dark. She was the lightest of 8 children and I was the darkest of 6. I have 1 child and she knows just how beautiful her chocolate skin is and you couldn’t tell her anything differently.
