I adore this show! As a Pakistani American, this is the first time I have ever felt represented by western media. This show is captivating, unique, funny, and over all just really well produced and well-made. I honestly think that the negative reviews come more from a place of xenophobia or jealousy and not on the actual story. I also think nobody and I mean NOBODY, not even Pakistanis are used to being the main character or main story of anything. Anytime South Asia is meant to be represented in a show or movie, it's just lump summed into a person of Indian origin, and never someone from any of the other south asian countries. This is a huge step forward and I know some people are obviously butt-hurt about it and therefore writing negative reviews, but there is a reason this show is rated so high by critics! Thank you to everyone involved in making this show with wonderful music and cultural references, a clever script and great visuals!

Honestly I really liked this movie and especially in comparison to some of Netflix's awfully unrealistic teen movies (The Kissing Booth movies), this was much more enjoyable to watch. I honestly didn't even know who Addison Rae was before watching this movie save for that she was some TikTok star. I don't care for her but I do believe that people are just hating on a pretty fun movie just because she's in it. If you don't focus on that, this was an enjoyable movie! Would watch again 100%. Also Tanner Buchanan is *swoon*
