As a Chinese American student watching this, I was moved by the character of Katy and disagree strongly with some of these negative reviews. While they do bring up genuine criticism and point out what is lacking in the movie, I would still recommend anyone to give it a watch- it’s not as bad as these people make it out to be. An enjoyable film, and recognizable Chinese actors my parents enjoyed too.
