NANCY is a 6 yo, PPL STOP expecting her to be “mature”, not a “brat”, or speak the adult’s language. She speaks the children’s language. Kids love this show because it shows realistic behavior.
I truly look forward to watching it with my daughter in the morning. Nancy likes pretty shiny things, and everything related to France. At first, people might think she's superficial, or as many said, “a brat”. But she is just like many little girls out in the world who like colors, sparkles, stickers, and glitter. When people say she's manipulative, I really doubt their ability to interpret the show or even understand children. Fancy Nancy is a show about a girl who is learning an important life lesson on every episode. She's kind and self-aware. She loves her family and always tries to find ways to make them feel special. She makes mistakes and then finds ways to make things right, just like everyone in the real world does. She finds herself jealous sometimes, or upset about little things, or even angry. Those are all human emotions, and children feel that too!!! But the show captures those emotions in a positive light, and guide children through Nancy's experiences into solving the challenges in an emotionally intelligent way.
I myself was a very creative and dramatic child. I loved pretty things, loved dressing up, dancing, and being involved in plays and shows. And that all led me to my career as an interior designer.
