The rhetorical nature of the author’s argument is compelling in its own way from it’s own point of view. As a dramatic presentation designed to persuade, it works. As an academic treatise, on which to found policy for justice, it does not. I find myself emotionally moved by the stories at the same time that I want to check the statements of fact that are too frequently provided with less than rigorous precision and without easily accessed endnotes. I read the book in Kindle edition.
