Woefully undervalued and abused film. In truth, a far richer, stranger and more nightmarish movie than the original. bursting with imagination and ideas, it rewards repeated viewings. Far from perfect but, for me, infinitely preferable to the nauseating bile-fest that is The Exorcist.
