Love is desired by both men and women but the differences in desire perceived by both sexes is the coup d e gra`ce for any love affair. This film also illustrates the absurdity of the relationship between men, women and existence. Entertaining and thought provoking.

This film illustrates Mr. Allen's fascination with the Romanticism of the past. It also shows that the writer-director is a foremost existentialist philosopher that manages to find humor in the basically humorless and meaningless existence of humanity.
