The movie is about a smuggler who does illegal work and disrespects loyal government officials. The protagonist is a prime example of toxic masculinity.
What else? You might think even if he's a bad person, there will still be a soft side to him. However, you are wrong. The man doesn't give a damn when the woman he claimed to love was forced to sleep with another man to save her father. He decides to save her life only when she explains she loves him and wants to spend the rest of the life with him.
I don't know what's heroic about this character. People are crazy over this film and want to copy the smuggler's life and attitude.
I would have liked it more if he was shown doing things that were actually heroic in real life, like being loyal to your country, saving women from getting raped irrespective of your relation to them, and doing something good for your country.
This movie is entertaining, I'll agree. But it's entertaining while giving a very disturbing message to society.
My advice to the men watching and praising this movie is - Unlike Pushpa, your body will bleed and you will feel pain while getting thrashed by police officials. Yes, you can even die.
If you really want to be a "hero", then crack that UPSC exam, be the owner of a legal startup, take care of your family and make society a better place for women.
Thanks.
