Having watched Mr Hanks sparkle and beguile in almost every film he ever made, I have to admit to being disappointed and worse, unmoved by this movie. I get the storyline and the message but the presentation was in the Toy Story mould, only featuring real life, which for me was not a format that worked. Acting was ok by most, message was clear but emotional connection was absent. This was the biggest disappointment as I am rarely left feeling unmoved by a Hanks film but I feel this one tried to hard, despite it being based on real events. Not for me, maybe next time Tom.
