Did I cry? Yes. Was it worth the read? Yes! The emotions! The...everything about it was simply beautiful. A young teen trying to discover himself while also going through a transition. His battle with finding love. The issues talked about in the book like white supremacy, transphobia. It is simply amazing! Towards the end of the book when his dad told him how he is so strong for defending his identity, I broke down. Felix is brave, strong willed and just...an example to other trans black males out there! This book is simply gorgeous. I think the most beautiful thing was when even though he was sure he was a boy, there were times when he didn't. I cried tears of joy when he discovered himself that night. I am still trying to discover my identity. It's so hard and frustrating because one minute I think I'm bi and the next I think I'm non-binary. This book made me think so much about the world and I will definitely be going to a Pride Parade next year!
