I see so many reviews about Anne Hathaways acting and accent, about how the story doesn’t hit the spot, how it’s nothing compared to the ordinary, etc. lol I actually enjoyed it. A lot like the first one; it was over the top, cringe inducing, corny, cute, wholesome... it was fun! Its not a cinematic masterpiece, but the first wasn’t either!! haha people need to go into it with an open mind and enjoy the ride. Hathaway's crazy, scary, comical acting is honestly the glue that held the 1990 version’s nostalgia together with this new version. And of course, Octavia Spencer was as wholesome and amazing as ever. Take a breath. Enjoy it for what it is. It’s a good time :)
