Best kdrama ever. I always struggle to watch dramas, dropping them half way or coming back to them later or even skipping episodes. The whole drama and melodrama genre doesn't do it with me but this drama was different. It was therapeutic. The scenery and the characters just brought it to life. It's the reminiscent feeling of how we are surrounded by places and things whose value is formed by the people around us. Things like how much people's words can mean to us. It may just be a voice or a sentence but it's like having a piece of them with us. There were flaws I admit like an AI that can somehow become the person with their memories; created from just their voice and medical history. And then yes, Hawon's obsession till episode 6 with his friend Jisoo who ended their story before it even began. Some of his behaviour even seemed creepy like recording her voice and developing an AI that somehow preserved her. But then it gives us greater understanding of everything. We see Hawon heal and move on and how both Seo Woo and him help each other grow. And how Jisoo too helped them heal. Even in their memories or be it through the device or her letters, Jisoo is beautiful and has that strong impact that makes you like her. I wish Jisoo didn't die and got the closure she needed. She was hurting so much and her husband, people can disagree, I believe was emotionally abusive. But she loved him so much which is what helped Hawon forgive him for unintentionally intentionally leading to his mom's death. I don't get why the ratings were low and I was sad it was cut short from 16 to 12 episodes. Better story telling would've helped but I guess it maybe because it didn't click well with every day audience in Korea. This story had depth.
