Its either that or they just don't like being reminded that Black Lives do Matter. They don't like to see it. Its like it sets off a malfunction in their brain or something. Historically, this has been the case. From Jack Johnson's knockouts being blacked out of early television, even though they televised the rest of the fight. From Jackie Robinson fighting to show he belonged in the Majors. From Muhammad Ali protesting the Vietnam War. Kareem Abdul Jabbar, Bill Russell, Jim Brown all standing with him. John Carlos having his Olympic medal taken from him in Germany when he protested the mistreatment of black people in America by raising his fist during the anthem. Craig Hodges wearing Kinta cloth to NBA games, and to LeBron James leading this generation of athletes to promote social justice. Its all the same thing, they just want us to shut up and dribble, shut up and catch a football, shut up and run the 100m dash. They expect the Black athlete to just be glad they’re making money OFF THEIR OWN GOD-GIVEN TALENT, and be thankful America gave them that opportunity. At the same time, these white Americans can make all the money they want OFF THEIR GOD-GIVEN TALENT, and no one asks them to shut up and build that bridge or shut up and do that heart surgery, teach that class, fix that lawnmower. But if you spoke up for social justice, you wont get thrown under a bus, have your lifestyle criticized, tell you that your success is due to America so you better respect it and shut up.
