My opinion : disappointing Hear me out. The show starts on a very strong note. The first three episodes do a great job setting up the story and the characters, their attributes and determinations all good. Then we get to the seven year jump, a gold mine of mystery for the writers to use which sadly they didn't. I don't want to spoil much, but the ending felt lacking. Opinions are opinions in the end, but we have a show building up a love interest for 15 years, making promises on top of promises, then they mess it up in the end... I enjoyed the first five or six episodes, I expected more from the show, and I was disappointed.

The character build up was so good, the viewer grows to love them, one gets accustomed to the streets of samungdong...so much so that, when the show ends there's sadness in the heart to let your characters go... So nostalgic... Just wow. Believe me, I've watched sad ending movies, tv shows and dramas alike... Some truly move me, some are bland, some are just normal, but none of them have ever drove me to tears .... In the last episode of the show, as Bo-ra reads her father's letter, I was shocked when I saw tears on my own cheeks... You'll find yourself remembering your childhood and your family on a very relatable level. You will fall in love with the personalities of each character, as if you've known them prior to the show. It's no normal drama... Get over your prejudice watching eastern shows, sit down, take your time and take a trip back into the past with this masterpiece....
