Johnny Willetts

J.D. was lucky enough to have been born with commonsense and longsightedness. He was unlucky enough to be the product of a heroin addict Mother from hell. J.D. was lucky enough to share with his Grandmother, a perseverance which stood him in good stead when the going turned rough. Essentially, Hillbilly Elegy showed us the horror of drug addiction as it lmpacts on a young child. It will stay with me for some time.
