I’m so disappointed with the amount of “modernization” they try to tie in. Drugs, sex, cussing, alcohol, this is absolutely disgraceful. Sure, I was expecting to see changes from something which was originally a very juvenile drama, but the “twist” they put on the student culture at alphiea feels forced and upsetting. You can modernize a series without trying to show teens and young adults that drugs, sex, and alcohol is a “must have to be cool” part of society. So sad and disappointed in Netflix for tainting this series.
