John Cassavetes is an old soul in film, and will not be forgotten. His style of filming and storytelling will never be repeated, as his films will be watched by generations. Killing of a Chinese Bookie is a beautiful piece of cinema, as Ben Gazzera will always be Cosmo Vittelli in my mind.

Mean Streets is one of the most Martin Scorsese movies youll see, although made earlier in his career, his style of filmmaking shines in every scene. Along with great acting from a young Robert Di Nero and Harvey Keitel. My favorite opening credits of all time.

John Cassavetes is a legend in filmmaking and this film just goes to show how realistic his films are, as he makes you feel as if you're in the room with the characters. One of the best, if not the best performances of an actress I've seen. Excellent Film
